Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi attended the grand inauguration ceremony of the long-awaited Grand Egyptian Museum, often referred to as the “Fourth Pyramid,” located on the Giza Plateau west of Cairo, Egypt. The event, held on November 1, 2025, marked a historic moment for Egypt’s cultural heritage, symbolizing the country’s commitment to preserving its ancient civilization while embracing modern architectural achievement. President el-Sisi was joined by world leaders, dignitaries, and cultural figures from across the globe, all celebrating the museum’s official opening.
Following the ceremony, President el-Sisi and the attending leaders posed for a commemorative photo, capturing the significance of the occasion. The Grand Egyptian Museum, now the world’s largest archaeological museum, houses over 100,000 artifacts, including the complete collection of treasures from King Tutankhamun’s tomb. Overlooking the Great Pyramids, the museum is set to become a global cultural landmark, bridging Egypt’s ancient history with its future as a center for art, research, and tourism.
