Antalya Exhibitions at the Cultural Road Festival welcome visitors

Exhibitions prepared as part of the Antalya Culture Road Festival, organized by Türkiye’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, were presented to art lovers across the city, highlighting the rich cultural and artistic diversity of the region. Among the featured events was the opening of ceramic artist and Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Tourism Branch Manager Selma Gençel’s exhibition titled “Ancient Traces of Göbeklitepe,” held at the Bülent Ecevit Cultural Center.

The exhibition drew inspiration from Göbeklitepe, one of the world’s oldest known temples and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, blending ancient symbolism with contemporary ceramic art. Through her works, Gençel aimed to reflect the spiritual depth, craftsmanship, and mystery of the prehistoric site while connecting it to modern artistic expression.

During the opening, Selma Gençel made a statement expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to share her artistic interpretation of Türkiye’s ancient heritage. She emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting cultural identity through art, noting that the Antalya Culture Road Festival provides a valuable platform for artists to connect the past with the present and engage audiences in meaningful cultural dialogue.
