Do You Dare to Love?

Usually Yoga in modern times is known by its Asana practice which are the postures that we practice. There are many benefits and reasons why we practice the postures besides strengthening and stretching our bodies such as increasing body awareness, bringing relaxation, increasing breath intake, connection and over all energy of our mind and body. However this is only a very small part of yoga.

Yoga is a way of living or better to say that it is an art of living. They are many yoga techniques and theory but if one is not practicing these teachings and just understanding them in intellectual level it is not yoga. Yoga is a theory to put in practice.

So what is the first practice?

‘Ahimsa’ is the first practice of yoga which can be translated as non-violence. So yoga says to be kind to all beings in the world. All life is same and sacred.  When said like this it sounds very cheesy yet if all the world would practice this very first teaching of yoga non of us would had to suffer from all these wars that we are facing today, that we faced yesterday and that we will be facing tomorrow. Yet as humanity we are so weak to be believe that we can be enemies to each other. Such a fear they are infusing to our everyday life we  are giving up on the most humanitarian values of life. Love.

In Yoga the real love is unconditional. It does not differs between race, gender, religion, ethnicity, language, colour, age or anything. It is all inclusive. It is not the one you have towards your partner, kids, family, friends and neighbour. Everybody can love these people. Real love is the one that you can keep towards the most difficult ones. Your so called enemies, or people you don’t like and have difficulties with. Real love requires courage and capacity. If you can dare to love everybody then it is real love.

In the eyes of divine there is no difference. We all born naked and die naked. We all come from earth and turn back to earth. If you are holding hatred towards anybody in your heart that darkness is vibrating from your heart all around and more than anybody it is hurting you. The little darkness you hold in your heart is like seed of war waiting to be sprout.

In yoga we don’t change anybody else than ourselves. All the practice is based on changing the self. So if one wants to bring peace to the world they have to first find that peace in their hearts. Hence for your job is to remove all the hatred towards anybody. Your practice is to love everybody. Otherwise that love is not real. This is the ancient practice of Yoga. To love everybody. Now, I am asking you do you dare to love?
