President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Tufan Erhürman, met with members of the board of directors of the Turkic World Youth Foundation (TDGV) during an official reception, focusing on youth-oriented initiatives and cultural cooperation across the Turkic world.
During the meeting, TDGV representatives briefed President Erhürman on the foundation’s ongoing activities and future projects aimed at promoting education, cultural exchange, and leadership development among young people from Turkic-speaking countries and communities. The discussions highlighted the foundation’s efforts to strengthen connections among youth through shared values and cultural heritage.
President Erhürman emphasized the strategic importance of youth engagement, underlining the role of young people in shaping the future of society and regional cooperation. He noted that creating opportunities for youth participation in social, cultural, and international platforms is essential for long-term development and mutual understanding.
The meeting also explored potential areas of cooperation between the TRNC and youth organizations operating within the broader Turkic world. Both sides stressed the importance of collaboration in education, cultural heritage, and youth empowerment initiatives.
