As a fashion designer born in Northern Cyprus, I have built my creative path at the intersection of fashion, art, and cultural storytelling.
Throughout my career, I have been honored with six international first-place awards across global platforms, the Sustainability Excellence Award in Italy, the “International Fashion Designer of the Year” award in Australia (2018), and the “Maximal Artist” award in Azerbaijan.
Alongside these recognitions, I have developed my work through thematic and concept-driven fashion shows, as well as bespoke, personalized design projects that reflect individual identity and artistic expression.
Academic and Artistic Background
I began my education at the Turkish Maarif College in Northern Cyprus and later graduated from the Department of Chemistry at the Middle East Technical University.
During this period, I also actively contributed to my family’s businesses in citrus production and tourism, gaining practical experience in both agriculture and hospitality sectors.
My artistic journey continued with a second master’s degree in plastic arts, allowing me to deepen my understanding of visual expression and contemporary art practices.
Currently, I am pursuing doctoral research focusing on the interpretation of war trauma in child psychology through the language of art, combining academic research with creative practice.
A Multidisciplinary Artistic Approach
My artistic production is rooted in a multidisciplinary approach that integrates fashion, music, sculpture, painting, and video art.
Today, I compose all the music used in my fashion shows myself. In addition, my original songs and ethnographically inspired video works have been completed and will soon be released to the public.

Solo Performance: Art, Memory, and Identity
As part of my creative evolution, I have developed a solo performance project that combines my original music with metal sculptures, paintings, and video installations.
This work is deeply personal and explores the trauma of being a war child, transforming lived experience into artistic expression.
After its premieres in Australia and at the opening gala of the International Theatre Festival in Ankara, the project is now preparing for international tours.
This ongoing journey represents a significant emotional and artistic milestone in my life.

Through my monthly columns, I aim to provide readers with meaningful content that enriches their experience of Northern Cyprus.
These writings will help visitors explore the island’s geography and cultural identity in advance, allowing for a more conscious and enriched travel experience.
I will also explore:
