The Imperial Russian Ballet Company brought its celebrated production of Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet “The Nutcracker” to the stage of ATO Congresium in Ankara, continuing its Türkiye tour with packed and enthusiastic audiences. Founded in 1994 by former Bolshoi Theatre soloist Gediminas Taranda, the company is renowned for its technical precision, emotional expression, and collaborations with world-class dancers.
The Ankara performance highlighted the timeless charm of “The Nutcracker,” a ballet that premiered in Russia in the late 19th century and has since become a global holiday tradition. The production featured detailed sets, ornate costumes, and a talented cast portraying beloved characters such as the Sugar Plum Fairy, toy soldiers, and the Nutcracker Prince.
